SMS88-18G – Seamless Matrix Switch with Video Wall Mode

Seamless Switching Matrix with the ability to accept 8x HDMI 18G inputs, with 8x HDMI outputs, and perform wide range Scaling up to 4K 60Hz 4:4:4. Can be used as a 8x8 Seamless Matrix, or a Video Wall Processor that can be configured up to a 2 x 2 video wall layout. Programmable through RS232, front panel an the PC App which offers the most complete control over all settings, including customisable Input and Output name labels. Audio embed (L/R), and de-embed options are available as optical Toslink or L+R analogue output from any of the 8 HDMI inputs. Available with easy to install 19” 1U rack-mount unit, suitable for a wide variety of applications within the residential, educational, commercial and hospitality sectors.  

Seamless 8x8 HDMI Matrix – Seamlessly switch between 8x HDMI 2.0 inputs, to 8x HDMI 2.0 outputs, capable of 4K60 4:4:4 60Hz 18G with programmable, and pre-saved modes. Switching is performed seamlessly with no black between the video transition.  The current matrix routing configuration can be stored into 8 Pre-Sets.  These may be recalled by using the front panel buttons, RS232 or PC App.  

Video Wall Processor – Video Wall processing settings can be used to create multiple Video Walls using some or all of the 8 HDMI outputs.  The functions include ‘Stitch/Un-Stitch’ to place a second video source onto a display within the video Wall, and ‘Bezel Compensation’ to match the edge of the display screens being used.  Scenes can be saved and recalled via pre-set memory locations.  

Audio Control – Audio can be embedded via Analogue L/R Audio Inputs. Audio can be de-embedded via Toslink, Analogue L/R RCA jacks, or Balanced Analogue L/R audio. Any of the available inputs' audio can be independently selected at any time. Full audio signal routing can be performed by using the PC App.  

Wide Range Scaling – Full Up/Down 4K 18G Scaling with complete control over both resolution and refresh rate, ensuring an optimal image based on the display's capabilities.

Control Options– Control can be carried out via Front panel buttons, PC App, RS232, TCP/IP or LAN controlled Web GUI.  RS232 commands can be sent directly via the LAN interface. The Web GUI offers basic control of parameters.  Front Panel offers 'Panel lock' to prevent accidental switching of front panel buttons.

Video Tuning – Fine Tuning of the picture is afforded via the ‘PQ’ function which is accessible through the Web GUI. 

EDID Management – This unit has several EDID options and also the ability to utilise any of the onboard pre-set EDIDs settings, which can be fed to any input selectively. Read EDID from any output and import EDIDs .bin files

HDCP Control – Support and management of HDCP ensures compatibility. Convert from HDCP 2.2 down to HDCP 1.4 or simply put the unit into Cascade Mode.

IR Matrix - Bi-directional control of connected sources and displays may be carried out by utilising the built-in Infra-Red Matrix system.  The discreet IR control matrix switching offers ‘IR follows Video input’.  

Out of the box, it will operate as a fully-fledged 8x8 Matrix switch.  All these amazing features are packed in an easy to install 19” 1U rack-mount unit, making it suitable for a wide variety of applications within the residential, education, commercial and hospitality sectors.
